Bihar & Jharkhand share a unique and rich tradition of festivals. The varied cultures and mixture of religions lends to a long list of festivals and fairs which the people actively take part in. The most famous festival of Bihar is Chatth Puja, which is celebrated twice in a year, once in March and the other in November. This is dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Surya to thank him for sustaining life on earth.

All festivals present a combination of bright colours, traditional dresses, loud festive music and dance with “Prasad” and sweets distributed to everyone. There is always the atmosphere of sharing the warmth of prayers. This strengthens the concept of brotherhood.
